Adam Winfield is our Lead Photographer & Proprietor.

Adam developed the business from a lifelong fascination for photography. Initially concentrating on landscapes, which remain a personal passion, he has photographed numerous weddings, families, events and businesses.

Prior to full time photography Adam was a Civil Engineer, designing & building roads, sewers & infrastructure across Lincolnshire before moving into customer relations, business development & marketing. Following redundancy he spotted the opportunity to follow his own path, turning a passion into a business, using his marketing & customer service skills to build great Client relationships.

Through the Lens has developed & changed in response to a transforming market where technology has made photography & the ability to share photos accessible to all.
Adam realised social photography was difficult to remain successful in and providing great images was always only half the story.
Prompted by discussions with Clients about how they most effectively use their images, Adam combined his business development & marketing experience to provide a deeper, visual marketing service.
By providing advice, guidance & support, businesses more effectively incorporate the power of the photos Adam takes into their overall marketing, making a bigger impact.
Adam has worked with a range of businesses across the UK for over ten years to develop their marketing, communicate with their customers and sell more, faster.

Extending his passion for photography into teaching everyone to take better photos Adam has established Lincolnshire Photo Training to share his technical & artistic expertise, running a range of courses & events including a unique partnership with Lincoln Cathedral, "Britain's favourite Cathedral".

A Licentiate member of the British Institute of Professional Photographers in the category of commercial photography, qualified to Level 3 Award in Education & Training and possessing a full Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO) from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Adam's customers are assured of the quality & validity of his photography, tuition & associated services he provides.
